Housekeeping

I hope this blog will foster a vibrant, diverse community of people discussing issues, sharing sorrows and joys, tips and tricks, supporting, helping, guiding and celebrating one another. In this blog I will make comments and post opinions, these words are my own.

Everyone who takes the time to read this blog is welcome to post respectful, considered comments with a wide spread of thoughts and opinions. Flame wars and trolls will not be tolerated. I reserve the right to monitor, moderate, modify and delete comments made by myself and others.

I work actively to make this blog a welcoming, inclusive place to foster a vibrant, diverse community including restricting access from people whose contributions, in my opinion, denigrate others, contain phobic or unrelated content, and/or reduces open discourse. I encourage everyone who wants to participate on this site to read over John Scalzi’s excellent blog post “How to Be a Good Commenter”. It is my hope this blog will support a community like those engaged with John’s blog: a diverse community whose members express strong opinions while engaging in thoughtful discourse on a wide variety of topics.

Although this blog is intended for a wide and diverse audience, it was started as a requirement for a course at York University, so references (when required) will appear at the bottom of posts.
